Stepper Motors

To allow me to turn or rotate certain items within the brewery I am using stepper motors, The actual motors in question where purchased as a pack of 5 generic stepper motors online through ebay.

To actually drive the motors in a simple way I used K179 stepper motor drivers. I’m not sure if you can actually purchase these boards any more as they use quite large old fashioned style ICs but I already had these from a previous project so just re-used them.

I connected one of the outputs from the Pokeys57e board directly to the drive input on these boards so that when I turn the output on the stepper motor turns.

Currently I have one stepper motor in use for turning the sparge arm and another one ready to use for the mini keg cleaning system so that the keg can be turned while cleaning to ensure all the keg is fully cleaned and sterilised.
