The Relay Boards

To allow the valves and pumps to be driven from the Pokeys57e Board I had to install a couple of relay boards in the brewery.

I have two 5 volt 8 Channel Relay Module Boards which I purchased online, These allow the low voltage outputs from the Pokeys board to drive the higher power 12 volts required to open and close the valves and to drive the pumps.

The boards themselves cost about 8 pounds each and It would have cost me more in parts to build these boards myself than it was to purchase them ready built.

At the moment the wiring to these boards is a little messy as you can see in the photos, I do plan on tidying the whole electrics and electronics connections up eventually.
